Privacy Statment

Your privacy on the Internet is important to us. As part of the operation of our site, we gather certain types of information from our users, and we would like to explain the types of information we gather, and what we do with it. Information Collected by This Site We collect two types of information from users: personal data and story descriptions from people who fill out our online form; and aggregated data (such as information about traffic patterns on the site, for example how many users log into the site on a daily basis). Personal data and story ideas are collected when users fill in our online form or send an email to the site.

We never print anyone’s story without their permission. After we tell you how much your story is worth, if you’re happy you will need to sign a form that allows us to sell your story on your behalf. We will keep you up to date every step of the way. Even if your story isn’t in demand now, the news agenda changes on a daily basis, so your story may be in demand in the near future.

We receive daily story requests from the national press, so by sending us your story you are agreeing to us keeping you informed of the stories that we are looking for at any particular time – especially if we think that your story is particularly relevant.  You can opt-out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any email you receive from us.

Aggregated information, such as which pages users access or visit is collected through various methods. For example, we collect IP addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you’re surfing the Web. Web servers, the computers that “serve up” Web pages, automatically identify your computer by its IP address, and when you request a page from a website, its servers log your IP address. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, so although your session will be logged, you will remain anonymous to the site. We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to provide aggregate data to advertisers about the volume of use on the site.

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and would like to know your options in relation to·not having this information used by these companies, click here.

We do not share personal information collected from the site with third parties for advertising or promotional purposes. FamousFeatures are always looking for people to appear in magazine articles and case studies. By selecting to be kept up to date, you are agreeing to receive our newsletter. You may opt out of receiving our newsletter at any time by clicking on the ‘opt out of this newsletter’ link at the bottom of the letter. Story ideas that are submitted to FamousFeatures by email, or via our electronic form, will not be published to national magazines or newspapers without your consent. FamousFeatures does however reserve the right to use story ideas.

It is important to note that this site contains links to other sites, and that those sites may not follow the same privacy policies as our site.
