As the cameras flashed away, Lisa Williams wrapped her arm tighter around her husband Andy and offered a beaming smile. Just six weeks earlier Lisa had feared they wouldn’t make it to their big day after she had to undergo a heart and lung transplant. But after having the life-saving surgery Lisa, 32, was adamant that nothing would stop her from marrying Andy. She says: “I was determined to be out of hospital in time to walk down that aisle.” The couple know how differently things could have turned out. “There were only four months until my wedding when they put me on the transplant list,” recalls Lisa.
