More info: Following news about the broadband tax, I\’m looking for two families from opposite ends of the broadband spectrum.
1) A family who refuse to have the Internet at home, not for financial reasons, but because they don’t believe it’s a good thing. They prefer to get their kids doing sport or other activities rather than spending hours scouring the web.
2) A family who couldn’t live without the Internet. Mum might use it for shopping, dad might rely to his emails, while the kids are hooked on spotify and facebook.
We would need to picture them at home today and a quick chat on the phone. We can pay them for doing this.
Person or Story Wanted: Case studies of women who have used diet pills with negative side effects.

More info: After a recent study says that a quarter of women use diet pills, I need several case studies of women who have used them with unpleasant side effects. One Alli case study is fine, but we’d like a couple of other diet drug examples as well and it would be good if they bought them online.

More info: We are looking to do a piece about a man who has married what is known as a “mail order bride”
Person or Story Criteria: It has to be a British man between the ages of 18 and 30.
Person or Story Wanted: Desperately seeking: An obese patient forced to EAT MORE in order to have NHS weight loss surgery.
Where the story or article will appear: Women’s Magazine Story.
More info: The Royal College of Surgeons claim obese patients are being made to eat more and gain weight so they can have weight-loss surgery on the NHS. We’re looking for a strong case study of a patient who deliberately gained weight after being told they did not qualify for surgery because they weren’t fat enough. We’re particularly keen to hear from patients whose health suffered as a result – for example, suffering diabetes, stroke, heart problems etc etc. The more extreme the weight gain the better, especially if it was over a short period of time.
Person or Story Criteria: Ideally, the patient should be under 30 and female but we’d be happy to hear about any case studies.
Person or Story Wanted: a funny crime story involving an animal.
Where the story or article will appear: Women’s Magazine story.
More info: We\’re looking for a funny crime story involving an animal in some way. Anything like a pet who was killed that turned into a bit of a whodunnit or someone who was beaten up by someone dressed up as an animal.
Person or Story Criteria: We need to be able to tell it from a woman aged between 18 and 35.
Person or Story Wanted: We are looking to speak to a woman who became a mum in her 50s or older.
Where the story or article will appear: Woman’s Magazine Article.
More info: It doesn’t matter if she was already a mum or if this was her first baby. It also doesn’t matter whether the baby was conceived naturally or through IVF. Ideally the baby would need to be about a year old. We are looking for someone who hasn’t appeared in any other women’s magazines.
Person or Story Wanted: Chemical peels gone wrong.

More info: We are looking for three women who each had bad experiences of chemical facial peels – did it leave your face scarred, seriously swollen, in a lot of pain, or requiring further treatment to repair damage done by the peel? Phone interviews and pics required. Generous payment offered.

More info: We’re looking for a family who are all on benefits to feature in a piece for The Sun where we give them advice on how to get a job, get fitter and healthier and reduce the amount they claim from the state. Ideally we’d need a mum and dad, and children of working age, along with any other family members who want to take part. We will pay a fee to them.
Person or Story Wanted: A woman who fell in love with her housemate.
Where the story will appear: Glossy woman’s magazine feature.
Story Info: We are looking for a woman who lived with her husband/boyfriend as housemates (maybe at college or university), before they got together.
Case Study Criteria: She must be 21-29.
Person or Story Wanted: Young(ish) women who’ve lost weight and ditched their men.
Where the story will appear:
Story Info: A line-up piece featuring three women who dumped their blokes after losing weight and gaining confidence. It could be the best thing they ever did – or something they’ve lived to regret.
Case Study Criteria: Ideally in 20/30s but could stretch to early 40s. Must be able to provide before and after pics of weight loss.
Person or Story Wanted: A woman who knew her husband/boyfriend as a friend before they got together.
Where the story will appear: Glossy woman’s magazine feature.
Story Info: We are looking for a woman who knew her husband/boyfriend as a friend before they got together. Ideally, he would have been her best friend’s brother/ brother’s friend or they would have known each other when they were very little.
Case Study Criteria: She must be 21-29 and preferably will be married or engaged.
Person or Story Wanted: My boyfriend\’s a cross-dresser.
Where the story will appear: Glossy Woman’s Magazine.
Story Info: We would like to find a girl in her 20s who discovered her boyfriend was a cross-dresser and she’s still with him.
They will both need to be pictured and we’ll need a chat with both of them.

Person or Story Wanted: Gay parents (preferably dads).

Story Info: We are URGENTLY looking for two gay parents (preferably men but will consider female case studies) for a positive feature on modern families in 2010. They must have had the child together as a couple (ie we do not want case studies who have children from a previous heterosexual marriage).
Both parents must be identified but we can conceal the child’s face through photography if they do not wish for them to be identified.

More info: We are looking for inspirational slimming stories. We need women aged 20 to 35 approx who have lost a significant amount of weight and transformed their lives in the following ways:
-Lost weight and conceived my first child.
-Lost weight and landed my dream job (eg became an airhostess after previously being too heavy).
-Lost weight and got a boyfriend.
We do not want case studies who have had gastric bands/bypass surgery, they must have lost the weight through diet and exercise. Please contact me asap by end of Mon 7 Dec ideally. We will need before and after collects of case studies.

More info: We are looking for amazing love stories where the couple met this year (for our Christmas wishes came true feature).
We need the woman to be between 19-35 and ideally they have got in touch with a long lost love this year and their romance has been rekindled. Perhaps he was half way round the world but she/he tracked them down and now they’ve met up and are together.
Maybe she was single for years until she found her childhood sweetheart again this year.
Whatever the story, we’d love to hear about it.

More info: The person would need to to give their reaction to announcements in the pre-budget report next Wednesday. 5-10 minutes on the phone. They would need to provide rough details of their job and salary (although we could keep this a little vague if it is sensitive). It will be a forum for them to give their views on the Chancellor’s report, and we could obviously mention their business etc if they wanted us to (although it must be their personal income that is £150,000 or more not the company’s profits)

Story / Case Study Description:: We’re researching an upbeat, positive, four-case-studies-in-one report for a Glossy Magazine Christmas issue. We’re looking for four women, age 19-35, whose circumstances have changed hugely for the better during 2009.
So, maybe they wished for:
- LOVE. Perhaps they were single at Christmas 2008, and made a resolution to go on a real mission to find love this year, going on loads of dates/setting up their own dating agency/writing a dating book etc – and are now with the man of their dreams.
- MONEY. Perhaps they were in a dead-end, badly-paid job in 2008, but this year they set up an amazing new business/found an amazing new job and are going to end this year making a huge profit/enjoying their new salary/perks.
- FAMILY. Perhaps they always knew they were adopted/had a sibling, and in 2009 they were finally reunited with their birth mum/long-lost sister, etc.
- A BABY. Perhaps they had been trying for kids for years, and this year they finally became a mum in an interesting way, eg: adopting a baby from China; using a sperm donor; etc.
- WEIGHT LOSS. Perhaps a year ago they were overweight and unhappy, but this year, for an interesting reason, they finally shed several stone and now have the body of their dreams.
We will pay each case study for their time and our deadline is the end of this week.
Story Criteria: Case studies should be 19-35 years old, willing to be shot and to provide collect photos if required.

For both case studies, the children need to be young, ideally 11 and under.
